There are places that feel beautiful, and then there are places that make you stop and look twice. Bora Bora was one of those places for us. The water seemed to shift between every shade of blue, from clear turquoise around the reef to deep sapphire beyond the lagoon, while the mountains rose quietly in the distance.

STAY

We stayed at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora, where the beauty of the island felt like part of the experience. Our over water villa opened straight onto the lagoon, making the water the backdrop to almost every moment of the day. There was something wonderfully indulgent about being able to step straight from our room into the lagoon.

Everything felt considered, from the service to the setting, creating that rare feeling of being completely looked after without ever feeling hurried.

EAT

Eating in Bora Bora was elaborate long lunches overlooking the lagoon, the freshest seafood, tropical fruit and the influence of French and Polynesian
flavours made even the simplest meals feel special. For breakfast, Tere Nui offers a fresh sea breeze and views towards Mount Otemanu. Enjoy eating barefoot at Fare Hoa Beach Bar & Restaurant sits directly on the sandy lagoon shore, serving grilled seafood and local-inspired
dishes. Dinner at Arii Moana brings a more refined feel, with Mediterranean classics.

DO

Spend a morning on the lagoon, snorkeling among colourful fish and coral gardens, or take a boat out to explore the surrounding waters.

Take some time to explore the island itself, from the lush landscape around Mount Otemanu to the local villages and beaches.

Back at the resort, an afternoon at the spa or taking out the Jet Ski’s was the perfect balace for our family.
