Our family had the privilege of finally visiting Venice, Italy - a city we long had been drawn to for its romance and timeless allure. Days unfolded as we moved through it's romantic canals and hidden passageways.

In Venice, history and beauty exist in perfect harmony. A reminder that true luxury lies in the details, and in the moments that stay with you longer after you've left.

STAY

Venice offers a range of accommodation from quiet boutique hideaways tucked within winding laneways to historic palazzos set along the canals. Our family stayed at Aman Venice, an intimate sanctuary housed within a 16th-century palazzo, where heritage and understated elegance come together beautifully. For a more classic experience, The Gritti Palace captures the city’s rich history, while Cipriani, A Belmond Hotel offers a peaceful escape beyond the bustle, with sweeping views.

EAT

Venice has an abundance of dining options to suit all tastes. We started our day with a typical Venetian breakfast, standing at a local bar enjoying a coffee and pastry. During the day, we were spoilt for choice. From the refined elegance of Ristorante Da Ivo, the artistry of Arva at Aman, the tradition of Antiche Carampane and Hostaria Castello; the city offers endless options. For something truly special, dine at Oro, a michelin-starred experience. A standout for us was enjoying a scoop of gelato from Suso, as we wandered through the canals.

DO

Drift through the canals on an iconic gondola, past centuries-old palazzos as the city reveals itself from the water. Wander through the grandeur of St Mark’s Square and step inside the opulence of the Doge’s Palace, where history and artistry intertwine at every turn. Pause to savour cicchetti - Venice’s beloved small bites.

For a deeper glimpse into Venetian craftsmanship, a day trip to Murano offers an intimate look into the art of glassmaking, where molten glass is transformed into delicate, luminous works of art.

WEAR

In Venice, coloured gemstones take centre stage. Vibrant tennis bracelets and fine gemstone bands add a touch of luminosity against winter layers, bringing warmth and richness.
