Thursday, October 31st 2019, House of K’dor entered a new era of global growth as we showcased the new ‘Emirati’ collection in Abu Dhabi in partnership with Etihad Airways, Lamborghini and J'aton Couture.

Dreamy dresses by Australia’s leading couturiers J’aton looked impeccable on international models with ruby, pearl, diamond, emerald, tanzanite and sapphire show-stoppers by House of K’dor sparkling on sequinned and billowing gowns against the exotic Arabian backdrop.



The evening comprised of a decadent dinner under the stars in the Al Mabeet section of the Jumeirah Al Wathba Desert Resort and Spa in Abu Dhabi. Guests, including members of prestigious international media and esteemed Emirati and Australian community, dined on a succulent selection of Arabian treasures - Moutabal, Modardara and meat sambousek - followed by decadent sweet delights, including home-made knafeh made by Australian cult dessert makers Knafeh Bakery.  

Other event highlights included music by leading Virgin Radio UAE DJ Martin Avari and a spectacular performance by our own Bearded Bakers, who flew in from Australia and strode in to the event on Arabian horseback. It wasn't long before the crowd was in a frenzy, dancing among traditional drumming and a dazzling fireworks display by Sydney Fireworks. 



Many guests flew out especially from Australia for the event and included international representatives from Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Etihad Airways and Lamborghini in a perfect fusion of elegance, friendship and culture. We feel incredibly lucky for these connections, along with the support of you, our wonderful friends back at home.


 
However, the new ‘Emirati’ pieces shone centre stage: jaw-dropping creations that brought a touch of down-under glamour to the UAE.



The collection references the gifts of Abu Dhabi through perfect diamonds, rubies, sapphires, morganites and emeralds, set in stunning designs that pay homage to the region's rich architecture.

Our stones were ethically and meticulously sourced from various locations: Sri Lanka for the sapphires,  Columbia and Zambia for the emeralds and Burma for rubies. 

We thank our partners Etihad Airways and Lamborghini to transporting us and our guests to the heart of the Jumeirah Al Wathba desert, and J'aton Couture for being a part of this incredible journey.
