Some partnerships are built to last, and one of our favourites, and most cherished, is with Etihad Airways. With a shared loved of adventure and, of course, all things Abu Dhabi, we’re thrilled to support the national airline of the UAE as it celebrates 15 wonderful years in Australia.

Etihad kicked off celebrations with an amazing event at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Foundation Hall. Sarah Built, Etihad’s VP of Sales Australasia, welcomed guests and eloquently spoke of the remarkable 15-year milestone, the challenging times of the past two years, and the very bright future for travel, before introducing Martin Drew, SVP of Global Sales and Cargo.

He shared with guests the company’s goals, its priority of sustainability and its mission to spearhead industry collaboration and R&D towards decarbonising aviation: “Throughout the pandemic we have committed to operational sustainability or researching and testing innovative technologies designed to improve flight efficiencies and cut fuel consumption. With the B787 Greenliner and A350 Sustainable50 aircraft both under the Etihad Sustainability umbrella, we are driving the world’s most comprehensive industry-wide testing and innovation program.”

Post-speeches, guests were treated to wonderful food that had a Middle Eastern flavour, paired with great Australian wine. They were then thoroughly entertained by Aussie icon Christine Anu and her 17-year-old daughter Zipporah. Throughout the night, images of magical Abu Dhabi played on the big screen and it fondly reminded us of the House of K’dor Emirati launch in Abu Dhabi in late 2019...

What a party under the stars that was! There was the opulent dinner, the spectacular performance by The Bearded Bakers, and the fashion show with our models wearing gowns by J’Aton and dripping in rubies, pearls, diamonds, tanzanites and sapphires against the exotic Al Wathba desert… Plus, being featured in Harper’s Bazaar Arabia – click HERE to read the article – it was a moment in time we will never forget.

What’s next, you might ask? Rest assured our plans are bigger, better and brighter than ever. You just need to watch this space…
